It's time to review. I know the game was made quickly for the Game Jam and is still being improved, but I think there's still a long way to go before delivering a solid product.

Bugs aside, the game doesn't have a tutorial, nor does it make an effort to teach you how to play or interact with the environment through visual cues. Instead, even though the art is very good, elements like certain tiles and non-important light sources can confuse players because they stand out too much compared to other elements in the rooms that actually need to be highlighted (such as doors).

Another important point to criticize is the lack of game feel. The controls, rather than feeling satisfying, do the opposite, as the character has a huge delay when attacking. As for sound effects, I know they will be added in the future, so I have nothing to say about that.

I understand that the developers wanted to give the character a control style similar to The Binding of Isaac, but the shooting mechanic makes no sense if the level design fails to justify its existence. If you replaced the attack with a melee one, the game wouldn't change at all, and you could still complete it without any issues. This is the hardest problem to fix because, in my opinion, several rooms would need to be redesigned. Water could allow bubbles to pass through but not the player, which could be used to design puzzles that require shooting from a distance to solve them.

Other aspects, such as the pause menu and main menu interface, need improvement, but they're on the right track. Also, an option to change the controls could be useful for those with keyboards that lack directional keys. Regarding the story, the text that appears at the start of the game is difficult to read due to the font used and how fast it progresses. People with vision problems or limited fluency in the language might struggle to read it.

This is constructive criticism, and I don't want anyone to take it the wrong way. I believe that the team behind Dungeons and Bubbles is very capable, and I have no doubt it could become a great little game if the issues are addressed
